The health care provided is divided into four types of services including an ambulatory service within the Outpatient Department (OPD), inpatient services, Emergency services and Clinical support services. Each is divided into functional units including:

Each department and service has a set of policies and procedures to guide its operations, a description of the department and services provided organization of the services, admission, discharge, and transfer policies.
AMBULATORY (OUT PATIENTS DEPARTMENTS (OPD))
- GENERAL MEDICAL CONSULTATION
The outpatient service offers services to patients whom the conditions are not critical then they are evaluated and treated by the physician and go back to home.
– They are given an appointment to come back again for evaluating the evolution of the illness. It’s also possible to transfer patient for further management to the referral level if the case can’t be handled in our facility as we do for emergency and other inpatient clients.
– NCDs cases are also managed

3. EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
- Emergency care unit and Observation
Emergency care is provided in the Emergency Department
• To provide optimum nursing care in conjunction with the medical plan of care to patients treated in the
Emergency Department.
• To assess and treat those patients with a medical condition who present to the Emergency Department
• To assist in establishing priorities for the care of patients.
• To promote good public relations and participate in community planning for emergency services.
• To provide a safe environment for victims of sexual assault and provide an expert clinical forensic examination.

4. SUPPORT SERVICES
- Registration and medical records
Reception and orientation of all patients and keeping their medical records in the electronic system.

2. Laboratory
The laboratory offers both inpatient and outpatienttesting and maintains several collection sites outside of the Clinic for easy access by outpatients. The laboratory consists of the lab manager office and the following departments:
1. Bio-Chemistry

4. Phlebotomy
5. Immuno-Serology
6. Parasitology
7. Bacteriology
Routine laboratory tests are performed constantly during each 24 hour period using a variety of automated and manual procedures, and requiring a range technical knowledge and equipment. The laboratory has to set certain priorities to ensure that all patients are getting appropriate care in a timely manner. Response to laboratory orders takes the following priorities:
1. Urgent (Timed) requests

3. Outpatients
4. Tests requests from areas other than Horebu Medical Cinic
5. Inpatients
6. Routine patient tests

1. Procurement of medicines, medical consumables, lab commodities:

2. Dispense medicines, medical consumables, lab commodities to services:
· Distribution to Clinical departments
· Dispensing to inpatients.
· Outpatients pharmacy is outside the clinic
· Preparation of medicines to patient or next of kin
· Give advice related to drugs.
3. Monitoring and evaluation of drug utilization in Clinic:
· Drug therapeutic committee activities
· Pharmaco vigilance activities.
